Travel on the Fujikyu Line! The Traditional Festival Coloring Tsuru City "Furusato Jidai Matsuri (Hassaku Festival)"

In Tsuru City along the Fujikyu Line, the Furusato Jidai Matsuri will be held on Saturday and Sunday, September 6th and 7th, 2025.
Originating from Oide Shrine's Hassaku Festival, this event is counted among the three major festivals of the Gun'nai region.
It features a magnificent parade of elaborately decorated festival floats accompanied by lively traditional music, as well as a daimyo procession with participants dressed in Edo-period costumes that energize the city streets.
The festival venue is easily accessible from Yamuramachi Station, which is about 20 minutes from Otsuki station and approximately 40 minutes from Kawaguchiko station.

◆September 6th (Saturday), 2025 - 3:30 PM to 8:30 PM

[ Evening Festival ]
From 3:30 PM atYamura Daiichi Elementary School grounds, a local gourmet market will be held featuring various food stalls.
At 6:00 PM, four splendidly decorated floats parade through Tsuru City to lively festival music.
At 8:00 PM, fireworks will light up the sky.


◆September 7th (Sunday), 2025 - 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM

[ Main Festival ]
Starting at 11:00 AM around Yamura Daiichi Elementary School with over one hundred vendor booths offering food and goods.
At noon there will be stage performances including Japanese taiko drumming at school grounds.
From around two o'clock in the afternoon, watch an impressive daimyo procession through downtown Tsuru featuring participants clad in Edo-era attire alongside another float parade.
